Description:

Since my students are working on addition (mostly just adding 1, right now), I started using these cards so I didn't have to constantly use my own voice to say "add 1, add 1, ADD 1!!!!!" all day. Now I give them this card, and since we're using number lines, they can just pick the piece off themselves and add it their number line. Then I make them add on their fingers and write it down afterwards. So far, they are responding well. I used the circles and made reinforcing circles to use for adding/counting with Thomas the Tank or specific preferred colors in them.
